COMAS-programme on Software and Computational Engineering combines and concentrates on state-of-the-art research efforts related to selected fields in software development, computational engineering, telecommunications, data management and embedded systems. Studied topics include, e.g., software processes as a life cycle from early specifications to architecture, implementation, testing, maintenance, reuse, and reverse engineering; object-oriented programming and languages; QoS and computer security in wireless networks, blind source separation and other signal processing techniques for improved network performance; image processing and machine vision, data-analysis, data mining, and development of new neural computational methods; algorithmic development for peer-to-peer networks, embedded intelligence and implemantation architectures for mobile data terminals and mobile computing, including mobile data compression and wireless data management.
